Week 2 Recap – May Need Some Sheet Metal from Limerick Hardware

Week 2 Recap – May Need Some Sheet Metal from Limerick Hardware

After pulling an all-nighter Andy, with the help of Schutz Competition, got the 28 ready for a big night of racing.

After both cares spent the day at Limerick Hardware for its annual open house, the 28 and 221 were ready for a full night of racing.

During the late model heat race we were scheduled to be on the outside of row one, but decided to start from the back to get a feel for the track. The heat race went well for the 28 Lazer and we were ready for the feature. Starting in the back of the pack Andy entered turn 4 to take the green when there was a big pile where half the field was involved. Unfortunately we were part of the pile up and it ended our night before we even crossed the start/finish line. The car is being repaired for this weekend where Andy will be doing double duty in the 28 Late Model and the 28C Vintage Car.

Ryan and his 221 Sportsman had a much better night. He qualified for the feature with a strong run in his heat. Starting from 8th in the feature, Ryan had his car dialed in during the middle of the race where he was gaining on the leaders. After a few restarts Ryan was able to move the KAM Fueled 221 sportsman up a few spots and finished strong in 5th place.

After the races both drivers shared their adventures at the car wash. The only thing missing was Alex, “the King” giving the team his point of view.

The team is looking forward to another week out on the track. We keep on Building a Mystery…….
