EVENTFUL WEEKEND INCLUDES CHECKERS FOR KAM FUELED RACING !!

We won our qualifying heat race which was a step in the right direction and thrilled the new fans we made earlier in the day… read on !

QUICK RESULTS 6-18-16:

We went back to a more comfortable set up for the early track conditions and took off from outside pole starting position in the heat and the #22 never looked back for the heat race win !! It was fun to see owners Alex and Steve during cool down lap, clapping and smiling. In the 25 lap main event the #22 Weso’s Italian Restaurant and Bar BRC Late Model started on the pole (first ever pole at Grandview) with 19 other hammer heads in tow. Led 4 laps before 7 time champ Chuck Schutz over took the lead and went on to win. We finished 11th  in the feature. We’ve already started searching to help with side bite and grip during the slick feature track conditions.

First and foremost, let me start by thanking the dedicated and hardworking crew on the #22 KAM Fueled Racing team… Al Yusko, Bob Auch and JD Nathan, there are many others behind the scenes but every team needs a core like these guys. Al has been Mr. consistent through the years helping during weeknights and weekends, Bob has been hauling and maintaining regularly and JD helps as time permits while doing a fine juggling act with 2 very young beautiful children and his super-hot wife (HI Kendra!!). Oh, Kendra can JD help more often now??  LOL… Others include Kylie, Secret agent, Hunter, Alex, Matt, Steve, Ken, Dan, and competitors from the 46 and 72 teams that have been more than helpful numerous times without a hitch. A true team effort. The heat race win Saturday night was dedicated to Bob Auch for his years of help and expertise during my various racing stints, he is giving it a break for a while, thank you Bob, you know you are welcome to return ‘whenever you see fit.

A HUGE congrats to Chuck Schutz and his entire ‘’ONE’’ team on their BRC Late Model win Saturday night, as you know he and his crew have been instrumental in helping us all season and continue to show us what truly great sportsmanship is all about... A great bunch. Congrats to Jeff Strunk on his win in the 30 lap TP Trailers modified feature, his first of the season and congrats to Jordan Henn and Craig Whitmoyer in their 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the special Sportsman 40 lap race.

GEEZER GAB:

v  A very special thanks to the owners and staff of Cooper Morgan’s Public House for hosting a wonderful open house from 1 til 4 Saturday where we had a great crowd of friends, fans, competitors, staff, photographers, patrons, car owners and crew as we enjoyed a day full of grilled foods, drink specials, #22 car on display and a prize wheel with tons of giveaways courtesy of Yuengling Brewery. Thank you Keith for having your Hosensack Poker Club on our car this season !! Great to see Peggy and your grandkids at the event too of course, the brownies were awesome !!

v  The ‘’Meat-N-Greet’’ at the Grandview ticket window from 5 til 6 was huge success as we had the car on display, tons of giveaways like signed racing shields, autograph cards, Giorgio’s Pizza shirts, Yuengling shirts, can coozies, cupcakes and sunglasses and more !! Geezer also gave out 22 meatball sandwiches to make it an official ‘’Meat-N-Greet’’. Meatballs courtesy of Giorgio’s Pizza and subs of Exton, Pa. THANK YOU GRANT !! The entire team and owners were there to meet many new fans and answer questions about this new team. Again, the Low Down and Dirty crew where doing live interviews, thanks Whippy for the fun chat. TEAM 22 GRABS ANOTHER TOP TEN
 !

‘’A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION’’

6-4-16 QUICK RESULTS:

The #22 Arthur Smith Landscaping car was runnin good and handling better than ever Saturday night, we led a bunch of laps and garnered an adventurous 7th place finish in the 25 lap feature. Can’t thank Chuck Schutz and his fine group for the set up ideas that we continue to experiment with, they worked well. Congrats goes to Brain Shuey and the entire Sue and Scott Lee owned #177 team on their third feature win this season. Following closely behind Shuey were Schutz, Pfeil and Sipe. Geezer really appreciated the #177 owners stopping by after the race and stating how nice a run we had, a true class act move, thanks Lee’s!! Kyle Borer won his first ever TP Trailer’s Modified race as he led almost all 30 laps of the exciting feature. Ryan Lillick won in the Sportsman division, what a great win for that team.

GEEZER GAB:

Ø  THANKS !! Crewing the Hollenshaed Auto Sales #22 for the night were Al Yusko, Bob Auch and Ken ‘’Big Red’’ Loux. A special thanks goes out to these guys ( and JD when he can assist) for all the hard work, long nights and dedication it takes to prepare one of these BRC Late Models for  competition.

Ø  Happy Birthdays to Jamie from Sunshine Café and our own Bob Auch !!

Ø  A very special thanks to the #46 Scott Select team for lending us a carb until ours is done being rebuilt. The comradery we are seeing this season form certain teams , really proves that this is a great division with some truly good people involved. I coulda got past Dan on the last lap but didn’t want him to take his carb back if I passed him. LOL, not. Dan Green driving the #46 Anthony’s Pizza , Squire side Café car finished 6th and is currently second in Championship points!! Keep it up team Green team !

Ø  Another hats off to Dave ‘’Crazy’’ Yost as he took time from his busy schedule to guide me and Bob through a new steering rack install just a day before the race!! Actually, he didn’t ‘guide’ us he ‘did’ the install, LOL… Crazy, works on the #72 BRC Late Model team with Wayne Pfeil as driver. That entire team has also been super helpful through the years with a carb loaner (last season), advice and help whenever needed and comedy from Crazy all too often. Another 72 crew member: Josh Hash’s welding expertise has been coming in handy numerous times already this season and his wonderful wife Shani is also always a great help. THANK YOU to the entire ‘’purple power’’ # 72 team !

Ø  Special thanks to race fan, friend of the owners and all around nice guy Ken Hanley for a recent gesture to buy a new tire for the Giorgio’s pizza #22 car !! Ken had some friends kids with him Saturday night and they enjoyed watching the #22 Weso’s Italian Restaurant car out front and promises to return !! Thank you Ken !!

Ø  Missie’s cupcakes were out of this world !! Thanks Missie (owner of Checkered Flag Bakery), and nice try sneaking them into our trailer !! Our surveillance cameras and motion sensors caught you red handed!! Look up Checkered Flag Bakery on face book, and like her page.

Ø  Thanks Cathy Green, owner of the #46 BRC Late Model for a container full of peanut butter cheesecake bites !! That was my pre-race and post-race snack !! Delicious !!

Ø  The KAM Fueled Racing car owners were happy with the progress and seeing their car up front is what they want more of… we will do our best !! Thank you for believing in us and we aim to keep the good runs coming. Visit www.kamfueledracing.com often to keep up with our first season/start up team.

Ø  Congrats to Eric Renninger on losing 40 pounds since 9 moths ago when he was in a racing incident which took him out of the driver’s seat for a little while. Eric is the Webmaster – E whom can do a site for you, see his contact info on the nice site (above) he administers for us. Thank you Eric and good job losing weight, teach me how you do it?? HA !

Ø  My friend Dan Lane went to Airport Speedway Saturday night with their #29j Micro Sprint driven by Dan Lane Jr. and almost caused a riot !! Lol, Dan drove a great race and was black flagged for a late race incident so after he spoke his mind to the officials, they were escorted out… they won’t be returning and no one was put in jail, a good day I’d say…LOL  they are a great team and great people, Airport lost a good competitor, but it’s not their weekly track so all is good. Go get em Danny !! They run Linda’s Speedway Friday night’s and Lanco Saturdays normally.

Ø  Eric Whitby, Scotty Deihl and Whippy were seen cruising the pits after the races but were too busy to stop by and say hello, but that’s OK, they will be at Cooper Morgan’s open house (see ad below) hosting some live interviews from the deck June 18th with team 22, come join us !! Joe Adams musta been so busy tryin to figure out who was driving the 22 car, that he couldn’t attend Saturday night… apparently since the #22 Keystone Air car was leading a bunch of laps he thought there was a driver change…and posted a ever too long face book post about it… I didn’t see the humor !!  Hahahahaha  ;)

Ø  Princess was MIA, she must have been busy painting ? At least Jordan was kind enough to say hi to Geezer, sheesh…LOL.

Ø  Great to see the Cooper Morgan’s Public House owners after the races enjoying meeting the many other folks who stop by after the events to see the #22 machine, and they even brought a couple cold beverages for the team !! They are really looking forward to meeting and hosting everyone for their open house ( see below) on the 18th. Seems that everyone expects Geezer to cook burgers on the grill, I better wear my fire suit and you better bring Tums or Pepto –Bismal.

I FOUGHT THE WALL, AND THE WALL WON !!

may2

John Cougar song !!  A slight jingle in the heat race, no big deal, knocked the pretty right off the right side, crew had the 22 ready for feature, all is good.

QUICK RESULTS:

A great crowd on hand for the cool breezy night at Grandview Speedway. Over 90 cars signed in for action on the super-fast and tacky high banks. The #22 Hosensack Poker BRC Late Model started the feature event 15th and finished 11th (on the lead lap for you haters, LOL) !! Congrats to the Scott Lee owned #177 car driven by Brian Shuey on their second win this season. Special thanks to the #22 crew of Al, JD, and Ken as it was a busy one for them as they tended to a fuel leak, starter problem, body work, feature changes and a tight/strict ration on wire ties… LOL. JD was generous enough to bring a pot full of pulled pork along which was delicious, thanks JD !! After the races, these guys worked until 3 am, getting a jump on the weekly maintenance routine.. now that’s dedication !! Geezer doesn’t take any of this for granted, and truly appreciates all the support and dedication of the team, family, friends, secret agents and fans that has come our way, THANKS !! We continue to learn and enjoy every lap and hope you are enjoying being a part of this seasons fun. Visit www.kamfueledracing.com often and stay up to date with our on goings. Webmaster –E does an excellent job with our site and has offered unbelievable discounts to anyone inquiring about his fine work when they mention team 22. If you want to do a site, you can expect to triple your business, go worldwide, and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner !! His contact info is on our marketing partner page.

IN THE NEWS:

v  A very special HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mathew Bartorillo !!! Matt is the ‘’M’’ in KAM Fueled and is 16 today !! A great young man.

v  Another random act of kindness hits team 22 Saturday night when the tire supplier at the track told us we have a new tire coming our way from a ‘’anonymous’’ person. We have been blessed with surprises and THANKS if you happen to be a reader. ‘Everything’ helps us stay on track.

v  Winners Saturday night were Brian Shuey in the BRC Late Models, Duane Howard in the TP Trailer Modifieds, and Jordan Henn in the Sportsman division. Great racing as always… if you win at Grandview, you are doing something right !

v  Dave Stirk delivered a couple Labatt Ice’s, thanks buddy !! Dave is as excited as we are to crack that top 5 this season, thanks to help from Schutz Competition, it won’t be long… hang in there.

v  ‘’Someone’’ kindly dropped a container full of homemade cannoli’s at the car after the events, we dug right in, thanks, they were delish !!

v  Joe Adams and Erik Whitby of the Low Down & Dirty radio show were kind enough to stop by after the event to express how much they enjoy watching my driving style and couldn’t believe how fast my lap times were. They will be a part of a huge event we have planned with Cooper Morgan’s Public House coming up June 18th. Listen to their podcast show Tuesdaynight’s from 8 til 10 pm.

v  Great to see Chuck and Sean Weiss roaming the pits… they will have the #24 Tint Guy Sportsman in competition in the next week or two. Congrats to Sean as he is on the recent winning Penn Relays Team from last weekend in track and field!! Good folks.

v  Special thanks to the ‘’Princess’’ for acknowledging she still reads far enough into this Gazette to see ‘’the tests’’… passed with flying colors Princess, you rock !!

v  Karen and Wayne Bucks along with Eric whom own Cooper Morgan’s Public House have decided to go ‘nonsmoking’ as of yesterday. They did in fact build an area designated for you should you like to grab a smoke… it is indoors, and ventilated. To celebrate this feat they are offering $3 coronas this Thursday, all day. Located at 140 Barto Road, just a mile from the track, they have great food, drinks and staff, check them out. Mention ‘’Geezer’’ and get thrown out immediately, LOL !!

v  The ‘’Turn 4 GanG’’ created lots of ruckus Saturday night as me and the crew decided to go sit with them during the modified feature. Coach Pete, Alex, Steve and trouble maker ‘’Ralphy’’ stirred the pot a bit. Ralphy stated ‘’don’t make me hurt somebody’’ and the whole stands erupted in laughter. Something tells me they weren’t intimidated? What a fun place to witness the action !

v  Thanks Schutz Competition for the garage help lately !! Much appreciated. Grant Richards enjoyed your company !! HAHAHAHAHA Girogio’s would look good on two cars !!  wink, wink.

v  Welcome many new readers !!
