 Sportsman Drivers Highlight BFP Specialties & Bashore Truckint Night at Grandview By Grandview PR  News

The Sportsman stock cars will be getting a lot of attention as a large field of racers is expected to try for a starting spot in the 40-lap feature race that is part of the Saturday night action at Grandview Speedway. The night is sponsored by BFP Specialties and Bashore Trucking. In addition to the NASCAR Sportsman with a full series of qualifying events and 40-lap feature the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds will be in action along with the BRC Late Models. At least 12 events will make up the night of excitement. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Low Down and Dirty Radio Meet & Greet will feature, a last minute addition, Modified racer Jared Umbenhauer, along with Sportsman ace Jim Housworth and popular Late Model racer Joe “Geezer” Fanelli. It all starts at 5 p.m. and the drivers will also be displaying their race cars. It happens in the main gate area.

Duane Howard is expected to be back in action to challenge all the top talents in the T.P. Trailers Modified division. And who knows there just may be some other visitors.

Adult admission for tonight is $20 while youngsters 6 through 11 pay just $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free.

And kids should be making plans to be at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, July 2nd when Kory Fleming and the Sleepy Hollow Racing team have their traditional bike giveaway. At least four bikes will be given away to lucky youngsters, two 12 inch bikes and two 16 inch bikes. Youngsters will be asked to put their names on entry forms as they arrive in the speedway and at intermission there will be a drawing with at least four lucky winners.

Racers in all three divisions are reminded that in order to collect TP Trailers bonus bucks the winning race car must have TP decals visible on each side.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA June 8, 2016 . . . The battle for the lucrative NASCAR and track point titles continues at Grandview Speedway this Saturday with T.P.Trailers Night offering an exciting four division show of auto racing action. Judging from early racing action the season seems headed to becoming one of the most competitive seen at the 54-year-old racing facility in quite sometime.

With six weeks of racing completed ( four events have been rained out) Craig VonDohren is leading in the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds with 1714 points and two wins to his credit. VonDohren is an eight time and defending champion. Veteran Mike Gular has put together a series of strong finishes to hold second in the chase for the NASCAR and track Modified titles. Gular is just 150 points behind and 10-time champion Jeff Strunk is coming off a strong second place finish last Saturday and is closing in on the top spot.

Dave Ogin, without benefit of a feature win, leads the BRC Late Model standings and Jordan Henn leads the Sportsman with 1237 counters and one win. Only 19 points separate Henn from challenger Craig Whitmoyer.

There have been 13 different feature winners in the three divisions of stock car racing making up the regular Saturday night attractions. The Sportsman division has had 6 different winners in as many races.

This Saturday night is T.P.Trailers Night. The Limerick, PA business has been a major booster of stock car racing at Grandview for several years and reaps the marketing benefits of being involved with the excitement of NASCAR 358 Modified action. The June 11th show will feature the T.P.Trailers NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models, Sportsman stock cars and the popular Blast from the Past Vintage racers. Racing gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Racing action will be recorded and shown later in the week on RCN-TV.

Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is just $15 for adults while youngsters under 12 are admitted free. Military with proper ID are also admitted free.

At 5 p.m. the Low Down and Dirty Radio Meet & Greet will feature three competitors with their race cars at the main gate area. This is a great opportunity to meet the racers, collect autographs and take pictures.

Coming up on Saturday, June 18th the NASCAR Sportsman will be featured in a 40-lap main event with the night being sponsored by BFP Specialties and Bashore Trucking. In addition the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds will be in action along with the BRC Late Models. Adult admission for the tripleheader starting at 7:30 p.m. will be $20 while youngsters 6 through 11 will pay just $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free.

ANOTHER BUSY MONTH OF AUTO RACING ACTION AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY KICKS OFF ON SATURDAY By Grandview PR  

BECHTELSVILLE, PA June 1, 2016 . . . Hopefully Ma Nature is done with the rain and May flowers. Auto racing action is back on Saturday, June 4, at NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway. The tripleheader show of T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars will be the attraction on Saturday and kicks off a busy month of racing on the one-third-mile, banked clay track. Racing gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m.

Craig VonDohren leads the point battle as he continues to defend his NASCAR Modified championship.

Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with at least 12 exciting events of racing being presented with a $15 admission for adults while youngsters 11 and under are admitted free.

Of course the Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet near the main gate at 5 p.m. gives fans the opportunity to meet three competitors with their race cars. A great opportunity to collect autographs, take pictures and just meet the racers. This Saturday Modified racer Ron Seltman Jr., Sportsman driver Kenny Bock and Late Model standout Randy Stoudt will be featured. In addition “Alex’s Lemonade Stand for Childhood Cancer” will be part of it all offering fans the chance to purchase raffle tickets, win prizes, and have the proceeds go to the charity.

On Tuesday, June 7th, 7:30 p.m. the United States Auto Club (USAC) National Non-Wing Sprint Tour will offer some outstanding racing action with the Jesse Hockett Classic topping the night. The 358-Modifieds will also be part of the doubleheader Thunder on the Hill presentation.

T.P.Trailers of Limerick will be sponsoring the four division show on Saturday, June 11th at 7:30 p.m. Featured will be the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models, Sportsman and Blast from the Past Vintage racers with no increase in admission price.

Sportsman stock cars will be in the limelight on Saturday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. when they top off their night with a 40-lap feature. The T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds and BRC Late Models will also see action in the tripleheader show sponsored by BFP Specialties/Bashore Trucking.

The final Saturday night event during the month of June is set for June 25th and will be sponsored by Bechtelsville Car Wash. Included this night will be the T.P.Trailers 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and the always exciting TSRS Sprinters. The BRC Late Models will have the night off. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Closing out the busy month of June will be the Tuesday, June 28th Pennsylvania Sprint Speed Week doubleheader that will include the powerful 410 Sprint cars along with the 358 Modifieds.

The month of June offers something for all auto racing fans.
