BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 8, 2016 . . . The groundhog seems to have been wrong. His prediction of spring weather did not hold true and Grandview Speedway management was forced to postpone their Saturday, April 9th NASCAR stock car racing events and reschedule them for Saturday, April 16th.

That means the Modified racers will have to wait a few more days to have their chance to race in the T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified 35-lapper that rewards the winner with $3500plus. All the same talents will be returning including opening night winner Craig VonDohren, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Meme DeSantis, Doug Manmiller and a long list of others as they battle for top honors and the big bucks.

A full series of qualifying events will lead up to the 35-lap main event featuring 28 starters.

Also the BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars will run in qualifying events topped off by 25-lap features in each division.

Adult admission is $20 while youngsters 6 through 11 are admitted for $5. Kids under 6 get in for free. Military with proper ID are admitted free.

The 5 p.m. Low Down and Dirty Meet and Greet will feature the same drivers with their cars on display as were scheduled on April 9. Included are NASCAR 358 Modified driver Steve Swinehart, Late Model talent Eric Hoch and Sportsman veteran Dean Bachman.

Then on Sunday (April 17th) at 1 p.m. a full show of Outlaw Enduro and Blast From the Past Vintage Car racing will be presented.

BECHTELSVILLE, PA APRIL 7, 2016 . . . It is anyone’s guess as to who will take home the big bucks at Grandview Speedway this Saturday when the Modifieds are in the limelight with an extra distance event that will see the winner earning at least $100 a lap. The T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds will be battling for in excess of $3,500 to win the 35-lap main event. Actual racing starts at 7 p.m.

Should weather conditions force postponement the Saturday card of events will be moved to Saturday, April 16th at 7 p.m.

Craig VonDohren, coming off an exciting come from behind opening night victory, will be looking for his second win of the early season at the Berks County clay oval as he defends his 2015 NASCAR title. In addition to the $3,500 first place money posted by the track there will be a $250 bonus from T.P. Trailers of Limerick.

VonDohren will have plenty of competition as Duane Howard will try to reverse the finish from last Saturday night with a big win and VonDohren finishing behind him. Ten time track champion Jeff Strunk was strong in the opener. Others looking to give VonDohren and Howard some strong competition are Frank Cozze, Ray Swinehart, Meme DeSantis, Mike Gular, Doug Manmiller and others and they will all be trying for a win in the rich 35-lap feature.

Again this Saturday the BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars will be back in action producing another exciting tripleheader show of NASCAR stock car racing. A full series of qualifying events will lead up to the feature races for the top performers.
